EXPOS ANNOUNCE 2001 SPRING TRAINING SCHEDULE
The Montreal Expos today announced the pre-season Grapefruit League schedule for the upcoming training camp which will be held at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL. The Expos
will open the 2001 exhibition season on Thursday, March 1, as they will play the New York Mets at St. Lucie. It will be the club’s fourth Grapefruit League season at
Roger Dean Stadium as Expos and Cards became partners in Jupiter in 1998.
The Expos' exhibition schedule consists of 32 games in 31 days, 22 of those against National League clubs and 29 of them against teams the Expos will face during the 2001 championship season. The schedule of opponents at
spring training 2001 includes the Cardinals for seven games, the Mets for six, the Orioles for four, the Dodgers and Marlins for three each, the Red Sox, Braves and Twins for
two each and the Pirates, Yankees and White Sox for one.
The Expos will play 15 home games at Roger Dean
Stadium, plus an additional three at the same site in which the Cardinals are listed as the home team. The Expos will wrap up their exhibition schedule with a split-squad day on Saturday, March 31, as the club will play the Twins at Fort Myers and the White Sox at Charlotte, N.C. The Expos will open the 2001 campaign on Monday, April 2 at 1:20 PM at Chicago.

EXPOS SPRING TRAINING REPORTING DATES
The Montreal Expos announced today the reporting dates and first workout dates for spring training 2001. Pitchers, catchers and staff will report to Jupiter on Thursday, February 15 with their first workout scheduled for Saturday,
February 17. Position players will report Wednesday, February 21 with the first full team workout slated for Friday, February 23.
The Montreal Expos' hotel headquarters will be the Hampton Inn (4001 RCA Blvd.) in Palm Beach Gardens.
